Like Robert from Sammamish, we, too became addicted to these Manzanilla olives with Piquillo Peppers after having a martini at a Tom
Douglas restaurant -- I believe it was the Dahlia Lounge.  We didn't realize exactly what made the martini so good, and kept talking about it
for days after.  Finally, we realized it was the olives, so we called the restaurant and asked them what kind of olives they were, and the rest is
history!

We tried to wean ourselves off of them, but now our friends are addicted too.  This will change your martinis forever.

For 10 years the best martini ever was a freshly hand stuffed (stilton blue cheese) olive, Tanqueray 10 and a splash of vermouth. 2 years
ago I had a Martini in Seattle at a Tom Douglas restaurant. They used these
olives. It was very dirrrrty, and divine.

These olives just add a sweet spicyness that is unlike any olive out there. I've tried a half dozen other branded "piquillo stuffed", and have
probably consumed 500 different bottles of olives in the past decade.

These are the best.

Recipe Of Excellence: (Warning if you try these olives with this recipe, all other martini's will pale in comparison).

2oz Tanqueray 10 Gin
~1Tbsp dry vermouth
~2-3TBsp piquillo pepper olive juice
4 olives

Stir for 40 seconds using 3-4 LARGE ice cubes, strain and serve.

the highest quality available of the most popular Spanish olives, are not the standard manzanilla or queen stuffed olives you'll find in most
stores. From the Aljarafe region of Spain, they are hand picked and carefully sorted to proper size, stuffed with real piquillo peppers, not a
paste, and packed in artisanal quality brine. The piquillo pepper is a small red pepper that adds a piquant, yet sweet flavor to the olive.
